What's a May 7?

Tomorrow is May 7. The most important date for me in this year and I never thought that it would be so. Tomorrow I would be having the right and the responsibility of electing my leaders. Tomorrow, I would go out and cast my vote and proudly be a part of the democratic process. I would be an aware and alert citizen and make an informed choice, be a part of the election festival of the worlds largest democracy.

Some facts which are really amazing. India is the yougest nation with the oldest parliament.Well, if we vote, we would atleast get the right to criticise our leaders. India has slept for long. Lets all wake up. Fight the forces of corruption and passivity.

(P.S. This is my finger)

Toony!

Here is a maya render (3d model) of a computer lab, modeled by me. As part of class project, it involved the use of toon shader in maya. My teacher liked it. Hope you do too! Lights and shadows behave interestingly different with this kind of shader.

UN-REAL

Some screen grabs of the unreal engine runtime environment of a game environment designed by me. It incorporates some sprite emitters, static meshes and some basic lighting.

Peace March against Corruption and Terrorism

I would share this with all of you. Come forward and be a part of this march. A march against corruption, against terrorism. A march to voice our opinions and make ourselves heard. A march to wake up and take responsibility. A march to be an Indian.

Let us all together remake our country, stand up for its unity. Look beyond the minor divides and think collectively as a society and act as a nation. For each other, for every one.

Let us take responsibility and think beyond our own narrow spheres. Think about our country and its integrity. Stand up and vote. Let us chose the leaders who are deserving, who lead the country and not just sit on their chairs of authority thinking of ways to keep that chair. The leaders who are unafraid to take tough decisions and lose their vote bank because they think of something beyond their own chair.

Let us all be a part of this democratic process and get the leaders we deserve.

Come and march with us.

YES + Advanced Shimla PART2

The course was really cool. Much more than I had expected, and my expectations were really high!

Dinesh bhaiya is one amazing teacher. The whole atmosphere was so different in his company. Asmita has posted a few pictures on her facebook profile.

Everything about the course, beginging from the Padma Saadhna we learnt, the Locks (bandhas), and the various meditations we did were challenging and invigorating . Then, the sessions used to be accompanied by our daily rounds of seva where in we were divided in groups and assigned various duties, such as kitchen, cleaning etc. We cleaned plates and served food. Cleaned the campus and mopped the floors. All, in complete silence. Though i must admit, I did some basic communication through eyes with my room mates regarding whos going to use the toilet first, or once in a while a word came out spontaneously.

There was so much peace right from the second day. We used to come out in the lap of nature after the sessions to be greated with the himalayan foothills or the beautiful valleys and the mesmerising stars at night. I felt like being completely soaked in the energy and the beauty of nature.

After 2 days, the third day, after I had over come my coughing and cold (mostly), it was pure bliss and a few tears rolled down my eyes while contemplating and thinking of the divine and love which is showered on us.

The whole day from 6 in the morning to 11 at night was spent in that company. In the evening we had satsang sessions which was pure celebration. Well, silence and Celebration, the rarest of combinations. We would sing, sway and dance all the time, clapping and celebrating. I made some really close friends and shared our life experiences and stories during one of the activities. The attention was so much on the breath most of the times that I felt intoxicated by it, by the pure bliss, that we ourselves are, forgetting the whole world around. And, as guruji said during the knowledge sessions, you are Love!

Dinesh bhaya is everything one could ask in a teacher. His impeccable command over the english and hindi language and the way he assisted during the meditation sessions. Check out his blog on http://bawandinesh.name/#.
We broke the silence on the last day, finally and everyone screamed with 'jai gurudev!'.

Can't stop writing but I will now!

YES PLUS Advanced Shimla

Hey every one! I am just back from the YES + advanced course in Shimla and the first thing I discovered when our bus arrived in Delhi was that my bag was missing. And guess what, I loaded it in the Chandigarh bus. So while I am in Delhi my bag enjoyed a cool ride to Chandigarh. But hopefully it will be recovered soon.

Now, I would share my experience with you all of the wonderful 5 days I spent in Dinesh bhaiyas company and all the art of living fraternity. It was around 180 of us, including teachers, volunteers and participants. Well, the nature of the course being such, it was a transcendental experience.

Transcendental in the complete sense of the word. Transcendental in the sense that one could discover the hidden love in ones heart while we sang the praises of the lord in the Satsangs. And during the Silence that we kept.

It was a complete silence which we kept for 3 days. This was an opportunity to be with ourselves and not communicate with anyone, even through eyes.

The last day, every one broke free when the silence was opened and we all went for a shimla tour enjoying on the mall road, clicking more and more pics.

And, now that I am back, I miss it all, miss them all.
